To understand how this digital transformation is enhancing operations, we spoke with Daniel Fritsch, Package Management Team Lead, who shares insights into the system’s benefits, supplier collaboration, and the potential for even greater digital integration in the future.

What does this digital do? Can you please provide an overview of this system and its main objectives?

The online labeling system provides suppliers with a dedicated access portal where they can log in and download printable PDF files with the latest label content. This ensures that all suppliers consistently have up-to-date and compliant labeling materials, reducing errors and improving efficiency.

How does this digitalization shift improve the business’ ability to keep the product information up-to-date, and what inspired this transformation to a digital platform?

The system pulls real-time data directly from our Product Information System which is continuously updated by the Product Development team. By integrating this data source, we can ensure that all labels reflect the most current product information at any given time. The transition to a digital platform was driven by the need for greater accuracy, faster updates, and improved regulatory compliance.

The new digital labeling system involves collaboration with suppliers. How does the Emotive platform support suppliers in generating regulation-compliant labels efficiently?

Previously, labeling regulation changes often required entire packaging redesigning, leading to delays and added costs. With the new system, we can now implement regulatory updates quickly and efficiently, ensuring compliance without costly redesigns. This streamlined process helps suppliers maintain accuracy and consistency across all product labels.

Is the online labeling system helping Emotive to ensure consistency and compliance across all product information? If yes, in what ways?

Absolutely. The system enables real-time updates, significantly reducing implementation time for regulatory changes. This means we can respond swiftly to urgent compliance updates and ensure uniform accuracy and traceability across all product labels.

What type of information can customers access through the QR codes? 

By scanning the QR code, customers can access a wealth of detailed product information, including application details per article, technical parameters, and OEM reference numbers. This enhanced traceability and transparency, giving customers direct access to relevant product insights.

Do QR codes also provide users with additional resources, like instructional videos or technical guidelines? 

Yes, and there is potential for even more. In the future, we can expand the QR-linked content to include installation guidelines, instructional videos, and technical documents – offering an unlimited connection to digital resources.
